Who needs to be advised?
At the College of Staten Island, ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ADVISED.
When do I need to be advised?
It is mandatory to be advised beginning every MARCH and OCTOBER. Students will have a hold on their record and not be allowed to register for classes without advisement.
Other opportunities on which you may need advisement are:
- Before registering for classes
- Before declaring a major and/or minor
- When changing a major and/or minor
- Before dropping classes
- Before swapping classes
- Before applying for graduation
