Welcome to the Office of Student Financial Aid

The mission of the Office of Student Financial Aid of the College of Staten Island is to increase opportunities for students' access and success in higher education by helping students and their families seek, obtain, and make the best use of public and private financial assistance programs for post-secondary education. The Office aims to generate delivery of aid funds to students most expeditiously while complying with all applicable rules, regulations and procedures of funding entities, CUNY, and the College.

Special or Unusual Circumstance

If the information provided on your FAFSA has changed due to unforeseen circumstances, you may ask financial aid administrator to review for Special or Unusual Circumstances.

If you need to submit documents to Financial Aid, please follow the step-by-step directions to uploading documents in Student Forms.

Please note all courses must be added by Thursday, September 3, 2026 for the Fall 2026 semester to count towards your financial aid.

Information on Summer Pell Grant
- Withdrawing from any Summer session prior to Monday, July 20, 2026 may result in removal or recalculation of Summer Pell grant.
Tuition-free Education at CSI: Excelsior Scholarship application will be available in May 2026 for 2026-27 academic year. Sign up to be notified when the application is available.
For New York residents with family income up to $125,000 annually. New York State application required. For additional information see the CUNY Excelsior Scholarship FAQs.

CSI Federal Direct Loan Application- 2026-27 Direct Loan Application will be available from May 11th, 2026
The deadline to submit a Summer Direct Loan application is July 1
The deadline to submit a Fall-only Direct Loan application is November 30 (if scheduled to graduate at end of semester, or will not re-enroll in Spring for at least 6 credits)
The deadline to submit a Fall-Spring Direct Loan is April 30
Electronic Federal Work-Study Timesheet (Supervisors only)
Appeals: The deadline to submit Federal and New York State financial aid appeal for Spring semester is March 31.
