Winter 2025 ACADEMIC CALENDAR 
January 2-23, 2025

January 1, 2025 Wednesday College closed.
Last day to drop for 100% tuition refund.
January 2 Thursday Classes begin for winter session. 
Last day to add a class.  
Last day to drop for 50% tuition refund.
Financial Aid Certification Enrollment Status Date.
January 3 Friday Verification of Enrollment rosters available to faculty. 
Grade of WD is assigned to students who officially drop a course.
January 4 Saturday Last day to drop for 25% tuition refund.
Verification of Enrollment rosters due from faculty.
Census date for Winter Session.
January 5 Sunday Course withdrawal period begins: a grade of W is assigned to students who officially drop a course.
WN grades assigned.
January 15 Wednesday 60% point of the session.
January 16 Thursday Last day to withdraw from a course with a grade of W.
January 20 Monday College closed.
January 23 Thursday Final Examinations. 
End of Winter Session.
Grade rosters for Winter 2025 open in CUNYfirst.
January 26 Sunday Grade rosters for Winter 2025 close tonight at 11:59pm.

SPRING 2025 ACADEMIC CALENDAR
January 25 – May 22, 2025

January 18 Saturday Last day to file an ePermit request for the spring term.
January 20 Monday College closed.
January 24 Friday Last day to drop for 100% tuition refund.
Last day for departments to submit course substitution requests.
January 25 Saturday Start of Spring Term: classes begin.
Registration for senior citizen auditors.
January 29 Wednesday No classes scheduled.
January 31 Friday Last day to add a course for the 15-week and the 1st 7.5-week sessions.
Last day to drop for 75% tuition refund.
Financial aid certification is based on enrollment status on this day.
February 1 Saturday Verification of Enrollment Rosters available to faculty.
Grade of WD assigned to students who officially drop a course.
February 7 Friday Last day to drop for 50% tuition refund.
February 12 Wednesday College closed. 
February 14 Friday Census Date (Form A) for spring term.
Last day to change or declare a major/minor to be effective in spring term. 
Last day to drop for 25% tuition refund.
Last day to drop without a grade of 'W'
Verification of Enrollment Rosters due from faculty by 11:59pm.
Last day to register for an independent study course for the spring term.  
February 15 Saturday Course Withdrawal period begins: a grade of “W” is assigned to students who officially drop a class.
WN grades assigned.
February 17 Monday College closed.
February 18 Tuesday Classes follow a Monday schedule.
February 24 Monday WA grades assigned for MMR immunization non-compliance.
March 1 Saturday Last day to file for June 2025 graduation. (Last day to file for August 2025 graduation and still be listed in commencement booklet.)
March 6 Thursday Classes follow a Wednesday schedule.
March 31 Monday

No classes in session.

60% date for the spring term.
Last day to request Pass/Fail option for eligible courses.
April 1 Tuesday Course withdrawal period ends: last day to drop a course with a grade of W for the spring term (15-week regular session).
April 12-20 Saturday-Sunday Spring Recess: no classes in session.
May 15 Thursday

Last day of regular class meetings.

Grade rosters for Spring 2025 (15-week regular session) open in CUNYfirst.
May 16-22 Friday-Thursday

Final Examination Period

  • Friday, May 16: Final exams for all Friday-only classes. Departmental final exams for BIO.
  • Saturday, May 17: Final exams for all Saturday-only classes.
  • Sunday, May 18: Final exams for all Sunday-only classes.
  • Monday, May 19: Final exams for Monday/Wednesday classes and all Monday-only classes. Departmental final exams for CHM.
  • Tuesday, May 20: Final exams for Tuesday/Thursday classes and all Tuesday-only classes. Departmental final exams for MTH given during Club Hours only (2:30-4:25pm).
  • Wednesday, May 21: Final exams for Monday/Wednesday classes and all Wednesday-only classes. Departmental final exams for CSC.
  • Thursday, May 22: Final exams for Tuesday/Thursday classes and all Thursday-only classes.

Regular final exams for all synchronous classes (those classes which have time patterns posted in CUNYfirst) are to be given during their regularly scheduled meeting time, following the schedule above.  Adherence to this schedule will avoid conflicts for students during exam time.  Since asynchronous classes do not have scheduled meeting times, final exam arrangements for non-departmental exams may vary.
May 22 Thursday End of Spring Term.
May 26 Monday College closed.
May 28 Wednesday

Commencement Day.

Grade rosters for Spring 2025 (15-week regular session) close tonight at 11:59pm.
June 1 Sunday Last day to request freshman forgiveness for earned F grades: Spring 2025 must be first term of attendance as a matriculated freshman to be eligible.
