You’re almost there; congratulations! Here are the steps you need to take to graduate from CSI and with Verrazzano.
First, Double Check You've Met Requirements

We will send you, via email, a summary of your Verrazzano requirements. Check to make sure everything is complete and get back to us if you need to make changes.
- Review your DegreeWorks audit. Check to make sure you have completed all your course work requirements, all course substitutions have been made (if applicable), you have completed enough total credits, that you have completed enough liberal arts credits, and that your majors and minors are correct. See anything concerning? Get in touch with Cheryl.
Second, Fill Us In On Your Accomplishments
Send us the following:
- Your completed Verrazzano Senior Information Form
- A copy of your current resume (make sure it is up-to-date and includes accomplishments from this year)
Third, Tell Verrazzano that you’re Graduating
Submit the completed Verrazzano Application for Graduation by the notification deadline indicated below.

Fourth, Apply to Graduate with CSI
Apply online for graduation with the Registrar’s Office at CSI by the notification deadline.
- Log in to CUNYfirst
- Go to Self-Service
- Select Degree Progress/Graduation
- Apply for Graduation
Fifth (optional!), Apply to Be Verrazzano Class Speaker
During the Verrazzano Senior Convocation, at least one Verrazzano graduate is selected to serve as the Verrazzano Class Speaker and offers an address to fellow graduates, administrators, faculty, families, and friends. This is an opportunity for the selected graduate to reflect on the past few years, celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating Verrazzano class, and share a message for the future.
To apply, download and complete the Verrazzano Class Speaker Application and submit it with the other required documents. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 1st, and you are encouraged to submit your application by email.
Finally, Attend Verrazzano Senior Convocation
The Verrazzano Senior Convocation takes place each spring and celebrates the accomplishments of Verrazzano graduates. January, June, and August Verrazzano graduates are all invited to attend this exciting event.
Complete the Graduate Information Form and submit it to Cynthia Palumbo no later than May 10. This is what we will read as you cross the stage!
