- Dr. Ting Yuan (Curriculum & Instruction) presented at the National Council of Teachers of English conference, was an AI Education panel discussant at CUNY’s IT Conference, and held a publishing party with Early Childhood teacher candidates and 1st graders at PS 45.

- Dr. Randelle Sasa (Nursing) was selected as a 2025 Fellow of the New York State Postsecondary Career and Technical Education.
- Dr. Jean-Philippe Berteau (Physical Therapy) gave an interview for an Australian newspaper called the Epoch Times alongside the president of the Australian Physical Therapy Association.
- Dr. Paul Archibald (Social Work) organized and facilitated the film screening of the documentary Alive Inside for Social Work students, faculty, and staff.
- Dr. Sonia Brown (Social Work) received an award to host Dr. Aneela Sultana, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar from Pakistan. Dr. Brown also facilitated the Social Work Club's recent work with the Faith United Methodist Church on Staten Island.

- Professor George Sanchez (Performing & Creative Arts) will perform his play, In the Court of the Conqueror in December at La MaMa Theatre.
- Dr. Sylvia Kahan (Performing & Creative Arts) will present two papers in November at the Weekend Musical of the Association des Amis de Winnaretta Singer at the Palazzo Polignac in Venice, Italy, and at an international conference Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
- Dr. Bill Bauer (Performing & Creative Arts) gave a workshop hosted by Dalcroze Society of America/NY "Time Travelin': Tempo Relations of 2:3 and 3:2 at the Lucy Moses School, Kaufman Music Center.
- Professor Miguel A. Aragon (Performing & Creative arts) will have his work included in a Curated Group Exhibition: Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in Woolwich, England.

- Professor Chris Verene (Performing & Creative Arts) curated one-person exhibitions: "Chris Verene: Home Movies" at the Museum of Art at the University of Kentucky and "Chris Verene: Town Hall Meeting" at Camera Club Projects, NY, NY.
- Dr. Sylvia Kahan (Performing & Creative Arts) curated and performed in a two-concert musical celebration of Gabriel Fauré at the CUNY Graduate Center.

- Dr. George Wang (Accounting & Finance) was interviewed by The Wire China for an article called Nongfu Spring's Big Splash.
- Dr. Xiaomin Guo (Accounting & Finance) presented at the 2024 Academy of Management meeting.
- Dr. Simone Wegge (Economics) began serving as editor-in-chief of Social Science History, a leading interdisciplinary history journal with Cambridge University Press.

- The School of Education was awarded a 3-year $300K transformation grant from the Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity. Thank you to Deirdre Armitage, Bethany Rogers, Rebecca Curinga, Stephanie Schmier, Contessa McNulty, and our partners at District 31 for helping to make this happen.
- Dr. Gene Fellner (Educational Studies) edited a book, Arts Based Research and the Practice of Freedom in Education, published by Brill. There will be a book launch at the Graduate Center in December.
- Dr. Marta Cabral (Curriculum & Instruction) published chapters in 2 books, The International Routledge Handbook of Intercultural Teacher Education and Training and Artes visuais na Educação Infantil a partir da abordagem triangular.
October 2024
- Dr. Ting Yuan (Curriculum & Instruction) received an OpenAI Researcher Access Program Grant for the project, "Pitfall or Panacea? Exploring the Potentials and Risks of Using OpenAI for Classroom Teaching."
- CSI School of Education Master's in Special Education ranked among the best in the country. Intelligent.com has ranked the program 19th overall among some 3,000 schools nationally.

- Chair Randelle Sasa (Nursing) received the 2024 Gene Tranbarger Research Award by the American Association for Men in Nursing.
- Dr. Sonia Brown (Social Work) organized and facilitated the very successful Department of Social Work sponsored event titled "Cultivating Global Citizenship," and was also awarded the Open Educational Resources Grant.
- Dr. Christine Flynn Saulnier (Social Work) received a mentoring award from the CSWE Council on the role and status of women in social work education.
- Dr. Vandana Chaudhry (Social Work) participated in the annual symposium organized by the Center for Democracy and Technology in Washington, DC.
- Dr. Paul Archibald (Social Work) was reappointed to the Board of Directors of the CSI Auxiliary Services Corporation as President.

- Dr. Jean Berteau (Physical Therapy) published three peer-reviewed research articles and was awarded a grant from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Dr. Maria Knikou (Physical Therapy) chaired two grant review panels for the Department of Defense and NIH and has published two peer-reviewed articles.
- Dr. Esther Son (Social Work) had a presentation accepted at the SSWR 29th Annual Conference in Seattle, WA.
- Dr. Alexandra Hoffman-Steiman (Nursing) published a paper in the Journal of Doctor of Nursing Practice, which was highlighted in the OUTCOMES section.
