New Electrical Substation
The new electrical substation will provide additional capacity to the campus, two Con Edison feeds will be replaced with three new feeds. The new substation will provide increased reliability and additional redundancy of a third feeder.
Time Frame for completion: Estimated energization in Spring 2022.
Chiller Replacement
This project will replace the non-operational Chiller #4 in the Central Plant. The new chiller will provide energy savings in addition to increased reliability and additional cooling capacity.
Time Frame for completion: Fall 2021.
2M First Floor Construction
This project will provide for a newly constructed South Wing, First Floor of Building 2M for the future home of the Jay and Lucille Chazanoff School of Business. The new space will include Chairperson and faculty offices, graduate study and group study rooms, a Trading Room, and large open multi-use space.

Fire Alarm Upgrades Phase II
The replacement of the existing building fire alarm systems throughout campus. The new fire alarm systems will increase safety for building occupants with new state-of-art equipment. Phase 2 includes the following buildings: 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 1S, 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S, 6S, 1A, 2A, 3A, 1P.

Academic Quad Building External Stairwell Roof Replacements – Phase 1
The reconstruction of the flat roofs connecting the academic building stair towers to the main building to eliminate sources of water infiltration. All academic buildings in the North and South Quads (1N-5N), (1S-5S)

Student Housing Generators
This project will provide portable generators which can be used to supply power to Dolphin Cove in the event of an electrical outage. Dolphin Cove currently does not have a source of emergency standby electrical power, necessitating the evacuation of residents during a power failure.

Bidding Documents prepared for Construction:
1P Media Screening Room
The renovation of the existing Media Screening Room will provide both Infrastructure and Technology/Media needs. The room’s furnishings, lighting devices and ventilation systems will all be replaced and upgraded. The renovated room will receive new floor and wall finishes, new fixed seating, acoustical plaster ceiling, reconfigured A/V closets to allow for a new projector screen, AV devices and equipment installation.

Athletic Field Reconstruction
As part of the Athletic Field Reconstruction project, Track & Field renovation will include new drainage, a new resilient running track surface, a synthetic turf multi-purpose competition field, new long jump/triple jump and pole vault installation, athletic field equipment and landscaping. An add-on alternate includes the removal and replacement of the existing light bollards at the outer perimeter of the track. New synthetic turf is also being designed for the Baseball, Softball and Soccer fields. RESO A and SAM Grant funding was provided by our elected officials.
