Commemorating the 500th Anniversary of Verrazzano's Discovery of NY Harbor

Please join us to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Verrazzano’s discovery of New York Harbor and to celebrate his Italian heritage. Participants will learn about the explorer and his times, the food history of European exploration, and, most importantly, how CSI gets its mascot, the Dolphin. Students will assemble and eat a Caprese salad, as well as enjoy some authentic Italian sweets from Verrazzano’s region. This is a CC CLUE and VELA event. Registration is required.
