Dr. Susan Sullivan is a Chair of the Department of Education. Dr. Sullivan continues to teach post master’s courses in supervision of instruction and educational leadership in the Department’s leadership program. She is also the co-principal investigator on an NSF grant that supports the Teacher Education Honors Academy and a founder of the CSI High School for International Studies, where she serves on the School Leadership team and as a liaison between the College and the high school.

Dr. Sullivan’s research centers on the supervision of instruction and its alternatives, reflective practice, and the role of leadership and supervision of instruction; in particular, in school transformation. In addition to the 2013 fourth edition of Supervision that Improves Teaching and Learning: Strategies and Techniques, she co-authored a staff development book, Supervision in Practice, and Building Effective Learning Communities.
