Abby Yaqing Zhang

Assistant Professor

Professor Abby Yaqing Zhang joined the Chazanoff School of Business at the College of Staten Island as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. She will officially receive her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Memphis in May 2025. She has two years of teaching experience at the University of Memphis and has published in accounting journals. Professor Zhang’s research focuses on auditing, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, and financial accounting, with a particular emphasis on integrating big data analysis tools, such as machine learning, into her work. Outside of academia, she is also an avid pickleball player with several medals.
