Welcome to the CUNY EDGE program at CSI!
What is CUNY EDGE?
CUNY EDGE is a partnership between the City University of New York (CUNY) and New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA).
CUNY EDGE provides students with a dedicated Advisor and the tools and resources needed to complete their degree. Advisement Services cover a range of topics including academics, career exploration and skills development. With a dedicated advisor, students receive the support needed to succeed in college.
VISION:
CUNY EDGE envisions a world in which all people have access to the educational opprtunities and support they need to realize academic success, a sustainable career and a brighter future.
MISSION:
The mission of CUNY EDGE is to help CUNY students who are receiving public assistance achieve academic excellence, graduate on time and find employment.
ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible to participate in the CUNY EDGE program, a student must:
- Have an active HRA Cash Assistance case
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate at CUNY
CUNY EDGE students can also participate in other success programs such as ASAP, ACE, and SEEK at the same time.
HOW ARE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN CUNY EDGE:
If you have an active HRA cash-assistance case and need carfare, childcare or need an HRA 154 form (school letter) to verify your college enrollment, please contact our office (718) 982-3769 to schedule an intake appointment.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
CUNY EDGE students are required to meet with their CUNY EDGE Advisor once per month to fulfill their engagement requirements.
