Thank you for your interest in the Medical Laboratory Science Program (MLS) at the College of Staten Island. The Medical Laboratory Science Program has been in existence for nearly four decades. The four year, BS-MLS program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), and registered with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a licensure qualifying program. Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for the MLS(ASCP) exam and are eligible for NYS CLT (clinical laboratory technologist) licensure.
The MLS program has been NAACLS-accredited since 2012. NAACLS is committed to being the premier agency for accreditation and approval of education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health care professions.
