Entering a career post-graduation can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. The CSI Pathfinder Alumni Mentorship Program pairs students with CSI alumni from business, healthcare, education, media, nonprofits, computer science, engineering, and more. The goal? To share first-hand experience about what it’s like to apply your CSI degree out in the world—all over coffee, email, or Zoom.

How It Works

Students apply here and provide information about themselves and their career goals. CSI matches students with alumni volunteer mentors based on career interests and availability. Once paired, student mentees will receive an email introducing them to their mentor.
Note,  the mentor's role is to provide support, answer questions, and help their mentee navigate their college to career transition; it is not the mentor’s responsibility to get  their mentee a job or internship.

A reasonable mentor/mentee relationship consists of 1 to 2 calls or meet-ups a month. Mentors may ask mentees to attend work events or shadow at their office. This is at the discretion of the individual mentor.

To facilitate this relationship,  mentors and mentees will be provided The CSI Pathfinder Mentorship Program Handbook which outlines the program's structure, role expectations, and suggested topics for discussion. This handbook should serve as a useful guide for mentorship meetings (which can take place either virtually, through a scheduled call, or even over coffee). The Tips for Conversations and Activities on page 9 provides insightful topics for discussions that mentors and mentees may choose to delve into. These discussions can be customized to align with the unique preferences and priorities of the mentor/mentee duo.
