The College of Staten Island ("CSI" or "College") is firmly committed to the spirit and letter of all federal, state, and local laws regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. Furthermore, the College believes that its mission as an institution of higher education demands that the College commits itself to increasing the representation of protected groups throughout the workforce.
To this end, CSI has developed the annual Affirmative Action Plan and the Affirmative Action Plan for Italian Americans which are a part of the College's wider effort to promote non-discrimination on campus.
The Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, who reports directly to the President, prepares the CSI Affirmative Action Plan annually. The administrative officers of the college fully support the objectives of this program.
The Affirmative Action Plans identify CSI policies and describe the procedures used to implement the Affirmative Action Program.
